The 2016 annual international conference of the SAH, Society of Architectural Historians, will be held April 6-10 2016 in Pasadena / Los Angeles, California.
The Masterclass is a joint initiative of KNAW, the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome (KNIR), and OSK. It is hosted at the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome (19 – 30 May 2016), and comprises on-site visits in Rome and excursions to other locations. Participants are expected to attend a preparatory meeting in Utrecht in February 2016 and to submit final essay by 30 June 2016.

Subject: Local Antiquities, Local Identities – Art, Literature and Antiquarianism in Europe between the 14th and 17th Centuries. This interdisciplinary conference is organised by Kathleen Christian (The Open University) and Bianca de Divitiis (ERC HistAntArtSI project/University of Naples). Speakers will considers social concepts of antiquity across Europe in the Early Modern era.
